Job summary

To ensure the effective management of execution and successful delivery of power-related projects, meeting technical, regulatory, and organizational requirements including alignment with EtihadWE strategic goals. 

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create detailed project plans outlining objectives, scope, timeline, and resource needs.
  • Establish/Review and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and financial reporting. 
  • Allocate and monitor resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. 
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Work with contractors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee on-site activities, ensuring work is conducted according to plans and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for project design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure that all technical aspects of the project comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Assess potential risks and issues that could impact project success. 
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and strategies. 
  • Address and resolve issues promptly to keep the project on track. 
  • Keep comprehensive records of project documents, including plans, changes, and approvals.
  • Prepare/Review project execution periodic reports including materials/factory inspection reports.
  • Review/Certify project progress on regular monthly basis or as required. 
  • Conduct inspections of project materials & equipment production and deliveries at project sites including factory inspections. 

Required Experience

  • Experience in project management within the power sector or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree:4 to 8 years.
  • Master’s degree:2 to 4 years.

  • computer literacy (MS Office/ Prima Vera/ AutoCAD). 

Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, as well as related technologies. 
  • Understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements specific to power projects. 
  • Knowledge in project management software and tools.
